The LHT-200 Series LEEB Hardness tester is designed for users requiring comprehensive hardness testing capabilities.
It features separate indenter/impact device on a cable to provide the user with easy positioning for accurate tests.
Impact devices are interchangeable to expand the testing capabilities of the LHT-200 to perform a wider range of tests from large, un-machined castings through to small, thin finished and surface hardened components. It is commonly used in production QC, to determine fit for purpose and to gauge the condition of metal parts and components in situ.
Calibration is simple with the included reference hardness test block (complete kit only). Results are highly accurate with repeatable results standard within ±6 HLD.

D Type impact device is general purpose for use on most steels and other metals with thickness over 5mm and bulk weight above 5kg
DC Type Impact device has a height of 86mm and is suitable for use in small spaces such as the inner face of pipe work or in recessed areas where there is minimal headroom.
DL Type impact device has a needle point of ø6mm and is suitable for deep and or narrow channels, grooves and holes. Needle point only 6mm diameter.
C Type impact devices is suitable for small and lightweight work pieces with thickness less than 5mm and min 2kg in weight. Also suitable for surface hardened layers
G Type impact device is suitable to big and heavy work pieces with rough surface such as raw castings.

* Supported means that the test pieces is placed on a large, stable backing such as a vice or heavy metal bench
** Coupled means the test piece needs to be physically clamped and firmly attached to a stable backing.
This is necessary to reduce the vibration and any impact absorption from the test impact which would result in inaccurate, low readings.
